FAQ at HappyClinic Denver

Denver RADIESSE®

What is Indy Radiesse®?

Radiesse® is a dermal filler made by Bioform Medical Inc. Radiesse® is compose of calcium hydroxyapetite, the same substance that is found in your bones naturally.  The calcium hydroapetite is suspended in a gel carrier, making it flow better.  Radiesse® tends to feel "harder" when injected than Juvederm® or Restylane®, and thus is often used to augment more "bonier" areas of the face like the nose or chin.  It is also used to reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds.  Radiesse® should never be done in the lips.

What makes Indy Radiesse different from Juvederm?

Radiesse® plays a similar role in filling in lines and wrinkles like Juvederm®/Restylane®.  One of the big differences is that Radiesse® has been shown to stimulate the body's natural growth of collagen. As we age we lose collagen underneath our skin and our skin ages, beginning to lose the elasticity of younger skin.

How long does Indy Radiesse® last?

Radiesse® has been shown to last up to 1 year in patients, but results will vary.

Does Indy Radiesse® hurt?

Radiesse® is well tolerated by most patients. Numbing creams can help with any discomfort.

Radiesse® has now been FDA approved for lidocaine mixing to enhance patient comfort. Your injector will also mix some lidocaine with the Radiesse® to provide extra comfort.

How will I look post-treatment Indy Radiesse®?

Post-treatment injection sites will have some redness and swelling.  Most patients can return to work the next day without any problems.

What is the cost of Indy Radiesse®?

Happy Clinic Indy charges $550 per syringe.  These prices are for a full 1.5 cc of Radiesse®.  Most patients need 1-2 syringes for full correction of nasolabial folds(smile lines).
