What is KYBELLA™?

 

KYBELLA™ is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called, “double chin.” KYBELLA™ is deoxycholic acid - a natural bile salt used to break down fat and destroys the fat cells when injected into the "double chin". Who is a good candidate for KYBELLA™ treatment?

 

Happy Clinic Indy offers a free consultation for KYBELLA™ treatment for anyone concerned about submental fullness, otherwise known as "double chin." A consultation with an examination of the "double chin" fat pad by Dr. Nguyen is the only way to evaluate if you are a candidate for the KYBELLA™ procedure.

 

How many treatments ofKYBELLA™ will I need at Happy Clinic Indy?

 

That depends if you have a little or a lot! :) In the studies done on KYBELLA™, most patients need 2-4 treatments spaced at least 1 month apart. Larger "double chins" will need more treatments, while smaller "double chins" will need less treatment. Per manufacturer's recommendation, up to 6 treatments of KYBELLA™ may be performed.

 

Is there any downtime or side effects of KYBELLA™ treatment at Happy Clinic Indy?

 

The most common side effects are pain, swelling,  and bruising with KYBELLA™ treatments at Happy Clinic Indy. You can expect 7-10 days of swelling with the best results from a treatment noted at 6-8 weeks post injection.

 

Pain from the KYBELLA™ injections is transient and subsides dramatically after 15 minutes. Most patients report a pain scale of 2-4 out of ten with KYBELLA™ injections at Happy Clinic Indy.
